Accidental Art

What I mean by accidental art, is anything that achieves an aesthetic or creative expression without the original intention of doing so. Everyone has probably seen or created accidental art. Perhaps it was when a sock was dropped in an unusual or pleasing manner on the floor or maybe it was a striking stack of newspapers by the recycling bin.
Car wrecks are some of my favorite examples of accidental art because there is something very poignant and ironic about the mangled metal of a car body. I would have liked to embarked on my own art project of comparing car wrecks to people, but the public liability regulations mean that you can no longer wander around wreckers yards; in case of an accident.
With a bit of exploring and observing it’s still possible to find car wrecks and generally, rural areas are littered with accidental art.
It might be a stack of wood
Or a ramshackle fence
Or you might have your own example of accidental art…
